--- In12 years prison , sentenced the former mayor of Thessaloniki, Vasilis Papageorgopoulos  who was found today in the second degree guilty of complicity in the massive embezzlement of funds of the municipality of Thessaloniki.

--- Four people were injured by firecrackers exploding  crafts in Zevgolatio, which is located next to the owner's home. Injured is the 39-year old owner of the craft, his two children-a boy 11 years and a girl of 7 years-and a 35 year old employee.

--- New fronts for the government cause after the bill for the "small"  PPC, in the   agenda gets the bill for the forests, which comes to the Parliament  this  week.  At   the same time the party of SYRIZA and Alexis Tsipras with a relevant event on Wednesday, they send the message that the bill for the coasts  would be the  next field  of cruel confrontation.
Furthermore, ongoing are Troika meetings with government officials where  today will be addressed finances of pension funds and social transfers.

- Nothing brought the meeting of Teachers' Federation of Greece with the Secretary of Education. --- No buses in Thessaloniki today  because of the  retention of employees who remain unpaid for months and claiming the payment of government grants since 2010.

--- For the 595 fired cleaners of the Finance of  Ministry who continue their struggle for reinstatement  for 10 months now, is organized  as announced this noon  by the radio station'' red'' and'' solidarity for all'', a concert in solidarity with by the singer Haris Alexiou. The concert will be held on Monday, July 28th , at 9 pm, at Syntagma square. ERTOPEN calls everybody to be  there to support it.

--- The candidates of Panhellenic exams are invited to go directly to the finalization of their  submissions  as there is a deadline. They will  be
​​sure that their finalization is correct  when they have taken the number of the electronic submission.

--- The Temporary Tables of Selection infants and young children in the kindergartens of the Public Employment for the School Year 2014-2015 were posted today.
Interested parents can be informed of the results from  the local kindergartens of  OAED, where they have  submitted their application or  by the Agency’s website.

--- Begins today the summer discounts in shops, which will last until Saturday, August 30.

--- Started today the submission of applications for Social Tourism workers, unemployed and their families. It provides subsidies for 1 to 5 nights, from 15 September 2014 to 31 August 2015.

--- A concentration at  8pm tomorrow night, at the fountain  of Tritsis  Park and protest against the commercialization, has called the Open Meeting. The residents claim direct  for state funding and recruitment of staff, free for all citizens, expelling trespassers and audit-report  by the administrations of the park.

--- The film critic, John Deliolanis, died yesterday at the age of 49 years. The funeral will take place tomorrow at 6pm from the Cemetery of Kaisariani.

--- A week of terror and death by Israeli aircraft over Gaza, at least 172 Palestinians dead, 1,260 injured and 17,000 refugees to move into the larger world of the concentration camp. Hundreds of houses, shops, roads, as the basic unit of electricity damaged by missiles, resulting in 70,000 houses are in the dark. Despite the complaints that came to publicity for use of prohibited weapons, Israel is determined to continue its military operations, ignoring international calls for a ceasefire.

- The leaders of BRICS-namely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa-will announce the establishment of a reserve monetary fund and a development bank in the week, as said the reports of  the news agency Bloomberg.
