Minister of Administrative Reforms: “12,500 civil servants to be suspended by the end of September”
Minister of Administrative Reforms, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, said that the government is ready to put 12,500 employees in suspension by the end of September.
He added that “A 4% of civil servants are to be included in the redeployment measure while 2% will be dismissed”. “I am satisfied by the way ministries have responded so far”, he concluded. From their part, employees in the Greek Manpower Employment Organisation (OAED) are as of today on a 48-hour strike, expressing their opposition to the measure of redeployment.
