Pavlos Fyssas, a thirty four years old leftist activist was stabbed to death yesterday in the Piraeus’ district of Keratsini by a forty five years old man who admitted his crime during questioning by the police and confirmed that he is a member of the neo-Nazi party of Golden Dawn. Pavlos Fyssas was a musician and took part in anti-fascist activities. 
A forty eight hours strike has been announced by the Civil Servants’ Confederation, (ADEDY), for today and tomorrow against the mobilization of the employees at the public sector. In the morning, a huge meeting was held by the strikers at Klathmonos square. The General confederation of the Greek Workers, GSEE, participated in today's mobilization with a four-hour strike action until 3am.
 
The deputy minister for the Public broadcaster Mr Kapsis, warned yesterday that the intervention of the prosecutor in ERT's premises of Agia Paraskevi is a matter of time. Mr. Kapsis added that the names of the rest of the employees to be hired to the transitional broadcaster, will be announced within days, and that also a radio program will soon be broadcasted .
A big concert will take place today, 18th of September at eight o’ clock a.m., at the Metsovio Polytechnic. The concert is organized by the employees, the students and the faculty of the University in collaboration with the employees of ERT. ERT will broadcast the concert via radio and TV.
