Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. The Hellenic Statistical service has recorded a dramatic increase in suicides percentage during the last 5 years. According to data, there is a 43% increase in regard to 2007, the last year before the beginning of the crisis. The non-governmental organization « Klimaka » estimates that the percentage is much higher than the one recorded, adding that the cause of this increase is the socioeconomic problems.
