A “dowry” of 50 million euros a year from the State to the private company who will buy Greek railroads
State subsidies of 250 million euros, in portions within a five-year period, will be collected by the private citizen who will buy TRAINOSE from the Greek State. The “dowry” will be given for the servicing of “unprofitable” itineraries. According to the NEA newspaper, on top of the 250 million euros, TRAINOSE’s buyer will also receive important real estate, whose value is estimated to reach 110 million euros, the agreement with Cosco and Hewlett Packard, as well as other similar agreements that are expected to be sealed in the forthcoming period. These predictions, as the NEA newspaper writes, are included in the Submission of Interest Expression call, for the sale of 100% of TRAINOSE, that was announced on Friday by TAIPED (the state organisation responsible for the exploitation of private state belongings).
