Teachers go on strike
The majority of local unions of ELME, the Greek Secondary School Teachers Union, decided to organise repetitive five-day strikes, starting from the 16th of September. After every strike, they will review their stand. Mr Kostas Arvanitopoulos, the minister for Education, has warned that the government will not proceed to a civil conscription of teachers.
